TRUJILLO, PERU—The XXIII National Youth Convention of the SDARM Church in Peru was held from February 6-10, 2018, in the city of Trujillo, north of the capital of Lima.

Brethren came from all over the Peruvian Union to attend the event. The meetings were held in the auditorium of a school in San Juan during the first two days. The other three days the meetings were held in the Gran Chimú Coliseum, the largest venue in the city.

We enjoyed many themes delivered by the visiting speakers:
Davi Paes Silva (GC President)
Rómulo Borges (Regional Secretary for South America)
Raducu Ionita (Youth Department Leader)
Marcos Pedrazas (Music Committee Chairman)
As well as the local pastors:
Manuel Rodrigues
Mario Alvarado (Education and Family Department Director)
Juan Salazar
Among others...

A baptism took place on Friday and 28 individuals placed their lives in God's hands and joined the family of God. The baptism took place in Laguna de Conache.

The youth convention had the presence of over 3 thousand individuals who enjoyed each service and the music performances. Each field had music groups who performed at the event, as well as the national orchestra (made up of 60 musicians) and choir (consisting of over 120 singers). The musicians both began and ended the event with a concert of sacred music.

The youth convention left us with renewed courage, revived our faith, and continues to motivate us to continue taking firm steps to hasten the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
